Floyd Mayweather Announces Exhibition Boxing Match Against Logan Paul on February 20, 2020

By | December 7, 2020

As if we haven’t suffered enough this year, Floyd Mayweather has just announced he will fight YouTube star Logan Paul in an exhibition boxing match in February 2021.

Mayweather, whose last fight was a 10th round TKO win over Conor McGregor in 2017, made the announcement on his Instagram page.

Boxing insiders have also confirmed that the exhibition seems to be legitimate.

It will be the second exhibition bout Mayweather has appeared in over the last few years after he fought Japanese fighter Tenshin Nasukawa

Mayweather is one of the greatest boxers the world has ever seen, winning world titles in five weight divisions from super featherweight to super welterweight and recording wins over the likes of Manny Pacquiao, Canelo Alvarez, Oscar de la Hoya and Miguel Cotto before retiring with a 50-0 record.

Paul lost his only professional fight via split decision to another YouTuber called KSI.

A venue for the event is yet to be decided.

It is also unclear what weight the bout will be fought at. Mayweather’s last pro bout against McGregor was at super welterweight (154 pounds), while Paul’s loss to KSI was fought at cruiserweight (200 pounds).

The pair had gone back and forth on social media over the past couple of months.

Just over a week ago, Paul’s brother Jake knocked out former NBA star Nate Robinson on the undercard to Mike Tyson’s draw with Roy Jones Jr.
