The National Weather Service warns that a strong cold front is set to arrive on Christmas Eve.
This front will bring some potential for severe weather with the possibility for damaging winds, and a few tornadoes.
The inland extent of the severe threat remains quite uncertain will be dependent on how fast the system moves through.

After the cold front, the coldest temperatures of the season are likely with highs struggling to get out of the 30s across our northern zones in GA/AL while highs will stay in the mid to upper 40s across Florida on Christmas Day. Tallahassee’s forecast high of 48 would be just one degree away from the 3rd coldest Christmas Day High Temperature on record.
The coldest night of the next 7 days will fall on Christmas night with temperatures dropping into the mid to upper 20s.
