Florida Department of Transportation Advises of Traffic Disruptions in Holmes and Washington County, Florida

The Florida Department of Transportation advises that drivers will encounter traffic disruptions on the following state roads in Holmes and Washington counties as crews perform construction and maintenance activities. 

 Holmes and Washington County:

 State Road (S.R.) 77 Underground Utility Repairs South of U.S. 90 – Motorists can expect lane restrictions from 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12 to 2 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13 as crews repair a water leak.

  • S.R. 2 Routine Bridge Inspection over Choctawhatchee River – Motorists will encounter east and westbound lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12 as crews perform a routine bridge inspection.
  • S.R. 79 Routine Bridge Inspection over Holmes Creek – Motorists will encounter north and southbound lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13 as crews perform a routine bridge inspection.

 All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to use caution when traveling through a work zone and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
