On January 21st, 2021 the Sheriff’s Office received a call to Bolivia Lane in reference to a stolen vehicle. The victim allowed Shane Allen Love to borrow his work vehicle, but specifically advised Love that he had to return it in two hours, which he had not.
The victim also reported to authorities that he could track the vehicle via on-board GPS. The vehicle was determined to be on Heavenly Dr. near Marianna, prompting Deputies to respond to the area. As Deputies turned onto Heavenly Dr. they learned that Love had an active arrest warrant for Violation of State Probation for Possession of Methamphetamines, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Paraphernalia. Upon arrival, Deputies observed Love standing beside the vehicle that was reported stolen.
He was taken into custody on the warrant and subsequently searched, incident to arrest. At that point Love spontaneously volunteered that he had methamphetamines in his pocket. A plastic bag was located in his pants pocket with contents which later tested positive for methamphetamines, totaling 3.2 grams.
The original victim declined to press charges. However, Love was lodged in the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance on the warrant as well as a new charge of possession of methamphetamines.
