Mr. Sherman Curry, Jr., age 72, of Chipley, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley, Florida.
He was welcomed into Heaven by his parents: Sherman Sr. and Earline Cox Curry; his stepmother: Jessie Mae Curry; son and daughter: Jonathan Mizell and Kese’ Diondra Walker; brothers and sister: Clifford Curry, Jimmy Curry, James Ray (Jerome) Curry and Betty Curry.
His memories will always be remembered by his wife, Veryl D. Vann Curry of Chipley, Florida; his children: Sherrica Watford (Xavian, Sr.), Taishia Walker (Jeffrey), Alexis Curry, Shera Curry Cruz (Daniel), Shermara Curry (Courtney) and April Helle (Keith), Sherman Curry III (Gloria), Bryan Curry (Kim), Danny Curry (Pam), Sammy Mathews (Catheria), Alvin Walker, Neatron Curry (Yesenia), Jefferey Curry, Davanee Walker and John Walker; his sisters and brothers: Dan Curry (Jewellene), Maggie Laster, Hilda McClendon (John), Josephine Curry, Laura McClain, Sharon Curry, Frankie Delane Curry, Betty Jean Marshall, Julie Gardner, Gloria Jean Nix, Elkay Curry, Willie Clark Nix and John Curry; 44 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; other relatives, cousins, and friends.
Public visitation, with walk-through only visitation, will be Thursday, January 28, 2021, 4-6 PM in the M. Sue and Rodney D. Pittman Memorial Chapel, 5441 Cooper Street, Graceville, Florida.
A celebration of life will begin at 11 AM, Friday, January 29, 2021, from the Graceville Community Cemetery, Jordan Street, Graceville, Florida with military honors.
All services will be observed with required facial coverings and social distancing, under the directions of Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville, Florida.
