Naoma Howell Kent Foran, 74 of Chipley, Florida Passes on February 2, 2021

In keeping with the will of her Lord and Savior, on February 2, 2021, Naoma Howell Kent Foran left this worldly home and family to be with her heavenly family. Naoma had a ferocious will to live and fiercely battled pulmonary fibrosis for eight years, before succumbing to the disease.

Naoma was born April 9, 1945 to Homer and Omie Ganus Howell. Naoma was raised and educated in Bonifay, Florida. Born to older parents, and being the youngest of six siblings, she was always called a “change of life baby”.

Naoma married young, to a Chipley boy, Donald Ray Kent, and settled in the Orange Hill area to raise a family. Naoma worked for many years as a pharmacy tech and sales clerk with Waco Drug Store, Kings Drug Store, and Bonifay Medical Equipment. Lastly, before retirement, she worked at Campbellton Graceville Hospital as a billing/insurance clerk. Naoma was blessed with many wonderful lifelong friends over her work career. Naoma was also widely known as a wonderful cook and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.

Left behind to cherish her memory, just for a little while until meeting again in heaven, is her beloved family, including her husband Brady Foran of Alford, a daughter Donna Jo Kent of Orange Hill, a step son and daughter-in-love Mark and Shauna Foran, also of Alford, her precious grand and great-grand children include Amber Harris Booker (Rico) and children Allanah, Tyrin, Raylin and Riley, Kelly Kent Collins and children Lee and Jade, Chris Kent (Courtney) and children Braelyn and Aubrey, Emilee Foran and son Hunter, Patrick Duncan, Savannah Capps and daughter Novalea, Ashlynn Sistrunk and children Jaydelynn and Joseph, Bethany, Wesley and Mark Sistrunk. Also remaining are several sisters and brothers in law as well as many nieces and nephews.

Naoma was preceded in death, and awaited in heaven, by her parents Homer and Omie Howell, siblings, Robert, Virgil, Dude and Joe Ben Howell, and Betty Howell McMullen, husband Donald Ray Kent, son Marcus Ray Kent and grandson Zachary Alan Ray Harris, great-grand children Anthony, Brady and Brody Taylor. Many other dearly loved family members and friends also greeted her upon arrival.

The family will hold a visitation on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 P.M. A Private Family Graveside will be held at a later date.
