The Poplar Springs, Florida High School Atomics Boys Basketball squad gave their school the best Valentine’s Weekend gift possible as they beat the Graceville High School Tigers 51-48 to win the Boys 1A Basketball District 2 Championship for the first time since 1975 on February 13, 2021 in Ponce De Leon.
The clash between the two teams was a hard-fought, physically aggressive game that was a nail-biter down to the last minute of play, as seen in Part 1 of these photos by Paul Goulding Photography, a subsidiary of The Goulding Agency in Chipley, Florida.
The Poplar Springs Atomics will now host the Jay, Florida High School Royals in the first round of State Playoff games on Thursday, February 18, 2021.
