John E. Shouppe, age 89 of Cottondale, Florida went home to be with the Lord on February 27, 2021 at the Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley, Florida.
John was born on December 6, 1931 in Atlanta, Georgia to Marvin Cleveland Shouppe and Clida Lee Shouppe.
He worked as a diesel mechanic and was a true hunting and fishing enthusiast; making an effort to go daily when he was able. John was of the Christian faith and attended both Sapp Church and Rock Hill Church when his health permitted.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Marvin and Clida Shouppe; wife: Frances Shouppe; brothers: Coleman, Wilmer, Adrian, Hillary, Leroy; sisters: Gladys, Cleatha, Roxann.
He is survived by daughter: Linda Weeks (Robert Brown) of Cottondale, FL; son: James Shouppe (Angie) of Cottondale, FL; brothers: Chester Shouppe of Perry, FL; sister: Gertrude Shouppe of Perry, FL; grandchildren: Nadine Rebecca Nadery (Nathan), Debra Faye Richards (John), Roger Lee Thomas Sr. (Deloris), Morgan Wilson; great grandchildren: Candica Rebecca Watson, Jonathon Nathaniel Barnes, Janessa Lynn Barnes, Roger Lee Thomas Jr., Linda Gail Marble (Daniel), Jason Marble, Ronnie Marble, Emma Marble, Samuel Kenneth Harrell Jr, Lillian Faye Harrell, Faith Marie Linda Richards.
A Private Family Graveside Service will be held, with Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.
