‘With everything that is going on in the world today. We want to reassure our citizens of Holmes County, that Sheriff Tate and the men and women of the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office stand with you and support our citizens’ right to keep and bear arms and to assure them that unconstitutional infringement of those rights will not be allowed.’

Sheriff Tate recently spoke with members of the Holmes County Board of County Commissioners to request that they consider passing a Resolution in support of the Second Amendment similar to those which have been adopted by several other Florida counties and by counties in other states.
The purpose of the Resolution would be to affirm the resolve of Holmes County to support our citizens’ right to keep and bear arms and to assure them that unconstitutional infringement of those rights will not be allowed.
The request was well received by commissioners, who stated they are already working toward placing such a resolution on the agenda for a meeting in the near future.

Sheriff Tate would like to thank the commissioners for their consideration of this important matter and for helping to uphold our citizens’ rights as pertains to the United States Constitution and the Constitution of the State of Florida.
