The City of Vernon, Florida held an election for City Council members on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, and on Tuesday evening the Vernon City Elections Canvassing Board certified the winners for office.
Incumbent Becky Baxley, incumbent Gwen March, political newcomer Chad Jackson and incumbent Joey Brock emerged victorious.
Platforms expressed by candidates included recruitment of business within the Vernon city limits, the challenges of the incomplete Hwy 79 project, and City policies and procedures.
Candice Hodges was unopposed as Vernon City Mayor and retains that position.
