Washington County, Florida Sheriff’s Office and Florida Wildlife Commission Dive Teams Search for 15-Year-Old Boy in Holmes Creek

A call came into the Washington County Communications Center at approximately 2:50PM on Sunday afternoon, March 14, 2021, in reference to a drowning.
 
Sheriff Kevin Crews immediately activated the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Florida Wildlife Commission Dive Teams to search for a 15-year-old boy who friends say was swimming across Holmes Creek and never resurfaced.
 
At this time the search has been called off and will resume first thing in the morning. If anyone has any information they are asked to please contact the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at 850-638-6111.
