Joseph “Mike” Ratcliff, age 57 of Bonifay, Florida passed from this life on March 16, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Mike was born on August 18, 1963 in Elba, Alabama to Alvin Ratcliff and Betty Dean Arrington. Joseph had a strong work ethic and was employed by Jerkins Concrete in Bonifay for over 20 years, then as a Grader Operator for the County for 10+ years. He loved the outdoors and was known as a “fishing enthusiast” whether on a creek bank or in a boat. Mike was very musically gifted and enjoyed playing both the guitar and piano. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife: Teresia Ratcliff; sister: Lynn Ratcliff.
He is survived by his daughter: Kayla Ratcliff of Bonifay, FL; sons: Christopher Bruner of Holmes County, FL, Dustin Bruner of Holmes County, FL; brothers: Buster Ratcliff of Pensacola, FL, Willie Ratcliff of Pensacola, FL, John Ratcliff of Chipley, FL, David Ratcliff of Chipley, FL, Andy Ratcliff of Marianna, FL, Lloyd McKenzie of Chipley, FL; sister: Teresa Lassitter of Chipley, FL; grandchildren: Kinsley, Dillion, Eli, Lucas, Delilah.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 12PM on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at New Smyrna Assembly of God Cemetery in Bonifay, Florida with Rev. Michael Tadlock officiating. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 10-11:30 AM Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Obert Funeral Home in Chipley, Florida.
