Wilma A. Peacock, 64, of Marianna, FL, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021 at Sunland.
Wilma, or as she was affectionately called “Buddy”, was raised on the family farm on Rocky Creek Road. Wilma enjoyed working the cows with her dad, fishing in the creek, and playing with her dog named Boots. Wilma attended and graduated from Hope School. She loved working in the garden with her mother, eating watermelons, and going to the beach and walking looking for seashells. Wilma also loved her second family at Sunland and looked forward to all the activities, especially the Sunland Fall Festival. Her infectious smile and big beautiful eyes will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn Theron Peacock and Edra Marlene Peacock; sister, Glenda Marlene Peacock; and brother, George Timothy Peacock.
Wilma is survived by her sisters, Sarah Jackson and husband, Tony of Graceville and Angie Carpenter and husband, Tom of Marianna; nieces and nephews, Emily Hill and husband, Jason, Elizabeth Brock and husband, Dustin, Glenn Ramsey and wife, Anna, Patrick Ramsey and wife, Misty, Trey Ramsey and wife, Meagon, Caitlyn Guettler and husband, Issac; many great nieces and nephews, and the caring staff at Sunland.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. LaVon Pettis officiating. Interment will follow in Peacock Cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
