On Thursday, June 3, 2021, at approximately 4:27 PM, a Deputy with the Uniform Patrol Division observed a black Honda car fail to stop at a stop sign in Alford.
The Deputy initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the occupants of the vehicle.
During the course of the traffic stop, K-9 “Rocky” was deployed to conduct a free-air sniff of the exterior of the vehicle and did give a positive alert to the odor of narcotics within the vehicle.
A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and a quantity of methamphetamine was located in the passenger’s area.
The suspected methamphetamine was located inside a bag that was determined to belong to the passenger, identified as Sarina Hunt.
Hunt was placed under arrest and transported to Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.

Charge: Trafficking in Methamphetamine (38 grams)
