The City of Chipley, Florida has scheduled an election for Ward 2 and Ward 3 representation on August 3, 2021.
Current Ward 2 Councilperson is Tommy Sasser, holding that position for multiple terms, while Mayor Tracy Andrews holds the Ward 3 position.
Following the close of the qualifying period, Mayor Tracy Andrews remained unopposed for the position of Ward 3 Councilperson while Tommy Sasser is challenged by political newcomer Jennifer Jones.
This election marks the first time in a while that Chipley City Council positions have been challenged, and hopefully signals a revival in interest in City representation.
