Doreen Evelyn Carrico, nee Naker, age 58, a resident of Carol Stream, IL, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 18, 2021, at Loyola University Hospital in Maywood. She was born May 23, 1963 in Naples, Italy to Leroy and Barbara Naker, while her father was deployed abroad.
Doreen moved often in her childhood, living in Cottondale, Florida, where she graduated high school. She moved to Illinois where she worked as a payroll manager for many years. She married Dennis Carrico on February 20, 1988. After the birth of her son, she was a stay at home mom and later worked at Fellowship Church of Carol Stream and Evangel Church in Hanover Park as a bookkeeper.
She loved gardening. She volunteered at her son’s schools as a librarian. She loved to read and do her daily devotions. She loved to camp with her husband in their RV. She loved spending time with her dog, Mason. Most of all, she loved her family.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Carrico, her son, Zachary (Savannah) Carrico, her brothers, Ken (Vicky) Naker and David (Michelle) Naker and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Fellowship Church. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Fellowship Church of Carol Stream. Interment will follow at Wayne Cemetery.
