Willard Clinton Cobb, age 80, of Cottondale, FL, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at South East Health in Dothan, AL, after a courageous battle with Cancer.
Mr. Cobb was born on March 26, 1941 in Cobb Town, FL. He was a devoted U.S. Navy Veteran of four years, prior to his loyalty as a Circuit Design Engineer for Southern Bell and MCI for over 30 years. In 1972, he married his beautiful wife, June Cobb and proved long marriages can happen with 48 years and 6 months of full loyalty and obedience to God.
He will be remembered as a very spiritual man, a long time member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, and involved in many church activities throughout his life’s journey. In his spare time, you would see him reading his favorite book, The Holy Bible, studying Prophecy, playing his guitar, and traveling.
Clint was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen Thaddeus Cobb and Rosie Taylor Cobb; son, William; brother, Leslie Cobb; and two sisters, Jeanette Geiburger and Doris Partin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, June Cobb; sons, Rick of Las Vegas, NV, Joe and John of St. Augustine, FL, and Greg of Milton, FL; daughter, Penelope of Cottondale; sisters, Myrtis Long and husband, Junior of Cobb Town, FL and Glenda Himes and husband, Bud of Slocomb, AL; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens in Marianna with Pastor Elton DeSousa officiating, Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
