Betty Davis McAdams went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, June 25, 2021, in Moultrie, Georgia, surrounded by her children.
She was born in Graceville, Florida on February 6, 1936 to James E. Hall and Nellie Jane Hall. Betty was the youngest of 15 siblings and attended Graceville High School.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, husbands Milton Davis and Curtis McAdams, and son Terry Davis (Marty).
Betty is survived by her children, Sheila Kelly (Mike), Raleigh, NC, Gary Davis (Candy), Fruitland Park, FL., and Cheryl Creel (Charlie), Moultrie, GA; grandchildren Katy Rodriguez (Tommy), Hillary Taylor (Steadman), and Dustin Davis; four great-grandchildren, Lainey Davis, Brentley Davis, Alice Rodriguez, and Baby Taylor due any day.
Betty provided an in-home daycare and Kindergarten program for several years for the Graceville community. She enjoyed camping, gardening, beach going, cooking her famous lemon pepper fried chicken, loving and spending time with her grandchildren and attending First Baptist Church of Graceville, where she was a member. Betty will be remembered for her love of music and dance, her feisty attitude, her loyalty and care for those around her and her love, support and compassion for her family.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am (CST), Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at Marvin Chapel Cemetery (1048 White Avenue, Graceville, Florida 32440) with Rev. Keith Wallace officiating, James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing.
