Karen Patricia Hunter, age 65, of Bonifay, Florida passed away July 20, 2021, at Southeast Health Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama. She was born October 11, 1955, in Camden, New Jersey to the late Alfred Mickey Holmes and Catherine Lachowicz Holmes. In addition to her parents,
Ms. Hunter was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Hunter, Sr., one sister, Catherine Toledo, and one granddaughter, Gretchin Hunter.
Ms. Hunter is survived by two daughters, Denise Slay of Bonifay, FL, and Tanya Henderson and husband L.D. of Bonifay, FL; two sons, Richard C. Hunter, Jr. of Bonifay, FL and Steven Hunter of Bonifay, FL: nine grandchildren, Chylin, Richie, Gracie, Karen, Logan, Calista, Lillian, Cassie, and Steven; three great-grandchildren; three siblings, Tony Holmes, Larry Holmes, and Brandy Holmes; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, July 23, 2021, at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Bonifay Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 PM at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church.
