Phillip “Daryle” Hayes, passed away on July 31, 2021, at his home in Chipley, Florida surrounded by his loving family. Daryle was born on June 18, 1955, in Chipley, Florida.
He graduated from Chipley High School in 1973 and married his wife Judy Williams Hayes in June 1975. Daryle was preceded in death by his father, Royster Hayes, his mother, June Hayes, his mother-in-law Bonnie Williams, and his brother-in-law Bryant Holley.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Judy Williams Hayes, son Phillip Bunting and wife Angie, daughter Celena Hayes and grandson’s father Cody Birge. He had two granddaughters Alex Caudill and husband Taylor and Ashley Bunting. He is survived by one grandson Noah Hayes Birge. Daryle is also survived by three siblings Larry Hayes and wife Marla, Linda Holley, and Dennis Hayes and wife Marsha. He is also survived by his father-in-law George Williams and brother-in-law Alan Williams and wife Vicky. He had many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. One of his favorite things was to hear his beagles run. Daryle loved his family and friends. He never met a stranger and he loved to talk. He retired from CSX Railroad. He loved to build and believed in hard work and a job well done. He was a Mason and a member of Orion Lodge in Chipley and a Shaddai Shriner out of Panama City. Daryle touched the lives of many people and with what he taught, shared, and loved he will continue to touch lives. He was a great man.
A Memorial Service will be held in Daryle’s memory on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 2:00 P.M. In Lieu of Flowers the family has requested that Donations be made in Daryle’s name to the Masonic Lodge of Chipley Orion Lodge No. 40 at 1437 Jackson Ave, Chipley, FL 32428 or the Shaddai Shrine Temple of Panama City at 1101 19th Street, Panama City, FL 32405. Memorialization will be by cremation.
