National Weather Service Issues Flash Flood Warning for Washington County, Calhoun County, Liberty County, Gulf and Jackson Counties

The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a flash flood warning for northeastern Washington County, Central Calhoun County, Liberty County, North Central Gulf County, and Jackson County until 9:45 p.m. CST.
 
At 3:51 p.m. CST, doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area.
 
Up to 3 inches of rain have fallen in the last 2 hours.
 
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
 
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include Blountstown, Marianna, Chipley, Orange, Bradford, Bristol, Cottondale, Altha, Alford, Wausau, Red Oak, Blountstown Airport, Durham, Kennys Mill, Chipola, Clarksville, Sharpstown, Nettle Ridge, Abe Springs and Hugh Creek.
 
Safety reminder: Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
