Washington County, Florida Emergency Management Warns of Imminent Flash Flooding Due to Heavy Rains Yet to Come

By | August 16, 2021

Washington County remains under a Flash Flood Warning until 9:45 this evening.

Heavy rain and gusty winds are expected for the next few hours as bands from Tropical Storm Fred move through the area.

The rain and wind along with downed trees and powerlines will make road conditions very dangerous.

Residents are urged to avoid travel this evening and early morning, if possible.

Public Works Crews will be out in the morning to assess roadways.

Sporadic power outages are occurring. Power crews will work to restore power as long as conditions are safe to do so.
