The City of Vernon is currently accepting applications for FULL-TIME AND TEMPORARY PART-TIME STREET MAINTENANCE CREW positions; the full-time position will also be on a temporary basis until approved by
the City Council to become permanent.
Work may include: cutting grass, brush, limbs, trees and other vegetation growing within the city limits; cleaning trash/debris; repairing/maintaining roads in the city limits; utilizing power equipment; reading meters; assisting Public Works with water/sewer work orders; other related work as required.
Minimum Training and Experience:
Graduation from a standard high school or equivalent
Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License
