Washington County, Florida 4H Sure Shots Enjoy Successful Summer 2021 Tournament Performance

Sure Shots 4-H Club traveled to several tournaments and camps over the past several months, as seen in the contributed photos (below).

They joined kids from all over the state at the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) state tournament on May 2, 2021 in Jacksonville, Florida.

Mid-June, Florida 4-H hosted the 4-H State Shotgun tournament in Jacksonville.

Sure Shots 4-H Club members brought home several awards in the intermediate and senior age divisions, and Westyn Haddock shot his first 25 straight at the state match. 

Cole Dillard qualified for the Florida 4-H Shotgun Team and competed at the National 4-H Shooting Sports Match in Grand Island, Nebraska, June 21-25. Cole and three other shooters from Florida competed in skeet, trap, and sporting clays.

To close out their summer, Drew Fleener, Oscar Foxworth, and Cole Dillard traveled to Ohio for the Scholastic Clay Target Program National Tournament. Over five days, the guys shot 700 targets in skeet, trap, sporting clays, and skeet doubles. They earned 1st Place Team in the open division for skeet doubles.

Cole Dillard was named as a scholarship winner and to the 2021 SCTP All-Scholastic Team for high academics, community service and involvement, and excellent scores in recent competitions. Cole also earned his Level 1 National Skeet Shooting Association instructor certification this summer and will be attending Jacksonville University as a member of the JU Shooting Team.
