Holmes County, Florida Sheriff’s Office Charges Michael Price with Fleeing, Attempting to Elude and Reckless Driving

An early morning pursuit lands a Geneva County Resident in jail.
 
At approximately 4:10 am on 8/26/21, Deputies were patrolling around the river bridge on Hwy 2 when they clocked a green Kia Soul traveling 102 miles per hour headed east bound on SR 2.
 
The deputy caught up to the vehicle and attempted to stop it.
 
A pursuit ensued that continued south onto Hwy 177 at high rates of speed.
 
The suspect turned south bound onto Hwy 79 where the Bonifay Police Dept. joined in the pursuit and proceeded south.
 
The suspect turned onto Thomas Drive and then turned into Holmes Correctional Institution where the driver who was identified as Michael Price was taken into custody.
 
Price was charged with fleeing and attempting to elude, reckless driving.
