Carrie Delphia Branham, 102, passed away on September 1, 2021 in Chipley, Florida.

She was born the youngest daughter of Columbus Perry and Mary Elizabeth Boyd on August 13, 1919 at Prater in Buchanan County, Virginia.

In 1938 Carrie found and married the love of her life, Stanford “Zeke” Branham.  To this 65 year marriage was born five children.  Zeke and Carrie moved several times during their marriage, but she always remembers her job in Maryland making ammunition for our troops during WWII.  The Branham family moved to Green Cove Springs, Florida in 1951 and to the Springside area of Putnam County in 1964.  Both Carrie and Zeke worked and retired from Georgia-Pacific Corporation in Palatka.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking but especially fishing.  Carrie once caught a 50 pound drum off the coast, south of St. Augustine.  Later in life her and Zeke could be found at Steinhatchee where they would fish for just about anything that would bite.  Carrie was a faithful member of Naomi Old Regular Baptist Church in Hollister, FL.  Zeke had been Moderator of the church before his death and Carrie continued to attend as long as her health would allow.

Carrie is preceded in death by her parents Columbus and Mary Boyd, husband Stanford “Zeke” Branham; one daughter, Earmel Imogene Coon, eight brothers James, Glenn, William, Roland, Lawrence, Claude, Fred, Marcus and four sisters; Ida, Walsie, Margie and Zettie.  She also lost granddaughters Laura Campbell, Dawn Tipper, Tammi Henkle and grandson Jason Campbell.

She is survived by sons Willard, Mena, Arkansas, Harold (Betty), Chipley, Florida, and daughters Laverne (JC), Ashford, Alabama and Loretha (Dane), Eclectic, Alabama; ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
