Anthony Dewayne Perkins, 61 of Cottondale, Florida Passes on September 3, 2021

Anthony Dewayne Perkins, age 61 of Cottondale, passed from this life on September 3, 2021 at his residence.

Tony was born on April 6, 1960 in Graceville, Florida to Jerome Perkins and Ann Shouppe Perkins. Tony was known by many and truly never met a stranger. His charismatic personality could light up a room, simply by walking into it. He was a very talented painter/wall paperer and spent many years in this profession.

Tony was the best story-teller and comedian, an excellent fisherman…spending a portion of his days on the Chipola, and all who knew him can attest; he was a very talented musician. Throughout the years, Tony utilized his musical talents in none other than “Music City” Nashville, Tennessee; playing with many well-known artists along the way. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

 He was preceded in death by his father: Jerome Perkins.

He is survived by his wife: Robbie Perkins of Cottondale, Florida; mother: Ann Perkins of Cottondale, Florida, sons: Chad Pippin (Tiffany) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Dylan Perkins of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; daughter: Jocelyn Perkins of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; brother: Chris Perkins (Joleen) of Cottondale, Florida; grandchildren: Keaira and Kealyn Pippin of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Raiden Brinker of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania ; niece: Joelle Obert (husband Blake and children: Ella and Easton) of Cottondale, Florida; nephew: Jeb Perkins of Cottondale, Florida; numerous family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2PM on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Cottondale First Assembly of God in Cottondale, Florida with Pastor Chris Franklin officiating. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida in charge of arrangements.

Due to precautions surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic, the family has requested that everyone maintain social distance, and masks are strongly encouraged for the service. Thank you for understanding.
