Kenneth ‘Jughead’ White, 74 of Bonifay, Florida Passes on September 22, 2021

Kenneth “Jughead” White, 74 of Bonifay, went home to be with the Lord on September 22, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Kenneth was born on August 2, 1947 in Bonifay, Florida to Thomas Curtis White and Lona King. A lifelong resident of the Florida Panhandle, he served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. During his younger days he was gifted athletically and played football during his time in the service.

After service, he worked as a printing press operator for the Atlanta Constitution, Montgomery Advertiser, and the Panama City News Herald. Jughead enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was strong in his faith, sharing the gospel any chance he got, and was a member of Poplar Head Independent Free Will Baptist Church in Bonifay, Florida. Of all of his greatest joys in life, his family brought him the greatest pride, especially his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parent: Thomas and Lona White; brother: Thomas Franklin White; sisters: Geraldine Adkins, Eleanor Chandler, and Brooks Slack.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Maria “Terri” White of Bonifay, Florida; son: Christopher Lee White (Krystal) of Noma, Florida; daughters: Cyndi Sisson (Mark) of Chipley, Florida, Mandi White (Shawn) of Bonifay, Florida, Elizabeth Gray (Jeff) of Havana, Florida; brother: Ferrell White (Dorothy) of Bonifay, Florida; sisters: Ramona “Sunny” Whitaker of Tyler, Texas, Janice Yates of Bonifay, Florida; grandchildren: Caitlyn Sisson, Allen Sisson (Miranda), Brittany White, Amber McClellan (Chase), Alex White, Trever Shouppe (Selena), Drena Shouppe, Zoie Gray, Sophia Gray; great grandchildren: Madalyn, Vivian, Nicholas, and Gabby; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Funeral service will be held 11AM Monday, September 27, 2021 at Poplar Head Independent Free Will Baptist Church in Bonifay, Florida with Rev. James Pate officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Military Honors. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made in his honor to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Wounded Warriors.
