Wanda Ann Sansom of Hartford, AL passed away at Wiregrass Medical Center in Geneva, AL on September 23, 2021. She was 55 years old.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva, AL. Burial will follow in East Pittman Baptist Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Wanda was born in Opp, AL on May 29, 1966. She loved coloring, crocheting, animals, and spending time with her family. Wanda had the sweetest spirit and the brightest smile that could brighten up anyone’s day. She will be missed by all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hubert and Jane Sansom, Bishop Marvin and Ila Mae Hendrix; one aunt, Dixie Mae Fulmer; two uncles, Marvin Hendrix and Thomas Sansom.
Wanda is survived by her mother, Annie Mae Dady of Hartford, AL; father, Hubert D. “Shorty” Sansom (Mary) of Samson, AL; three brothers, Ken Rushing (Jamie), Mitch Rushing (Lynn), and John Rushing (Shannon) all of Samson, AL; many special friends at the Merle Wallace Purvis Center in Geneva, AL; and a host of aunts, uncles and other extended family and friends.
