William Troy Rushing, 50 of DeFuniak Springs, Florida Passes on September 29, 2021

William Troy Rushing, age 50, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021.  He was born July 24, 1971 in Geneva, Alabama to Willard Travis Rushing and Betty Sue Williams Rushing.

Mr. Rushing was a resident of DeFuniak Springs, Florida. He was Pentecostal by faith and a member of New Smyrna Assembly of God Church in Bonifay, Florida. He graduated from Holmes County High School in 1989. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son. He worked as a crane operator in the oil rigging industry. He loved his tractor and being outside. He was an avid Florida State Football fan. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Mr. Rushing was preceded in death by his son William Trent Rushing; his paternal grandparents, Edward and Vera Mae Rushing; and his maternal grandparents, Dick and Lovie Williams.

Mr. Rushing is survived by his father, Travis Rushing and wife Glenda of Ponce De Leon, Florida; his mother, Sue Langford of Graceville, Florida; his wife of twelve years, Jackie Rushing of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; his children, Autumn Hanks (Mark) of DeFuniak Springs, Vanna Halford (Shayne) of Ponce De Leon, Willa Tori Davidson (Gallagher) of Ponce De Leon, Catfish Ramer of Opp, Alabama, Morgan Rushing (Josephine) of Ponce De Leon, Shelby Smith (Zach) of DeFuniak Springs, Chris Rushing of DeFuniak Springs, Parker Rushing of DeFuniak Springs, and Jazzy Rushing of DeFuniak Springs; two brothers, Willard Rushing and wife Sandy of Ponce De Leon and Todd Rushing and wife Sheri of Ponce De Leon; his mother-in-law, Debbie Gomillion of Opp, Alabama; and twenty-one grandchildren. He is also survived by his special friends, Angela and Daryl Dockery, Audri, Ron and Jordan Dragula, Barbie Donaldson and Tyler Helms.

A time of visitation will be held from 6:00 -8:00 PM, Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

A Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 PM, Monday, October 4, 2021 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Michael Tadlock officiating.
