Bay County, Florida Sheriff’s Office Arrest Andrew Garner, 12, For Aggravated Assault, Firing Into Occupied Dwelling, Grand Theft

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a juvenile on October 30, 2021 after responding to a reported shooting on Kraft Avenue.
 
The BCSO received the 911 call this morning at 7:39.
 
Deputies arrived and learned there had been three juveniles arguing in the front yard of a home on Kraft Avenue in Panama City.
 
One of the juveniles, identified as Andrew Garner, age 12, pulled out a handgun during the argument.
 
The two other juveniles ran back into the home and Garner fired through the door of the home. No one was injured.
 
The suspect fled the scene on a bicycle and a nearby elementary school was placed on lock down in an abundance of caution.
By 7:50 AM, the suspect had been located at his residence on Gray Avenue. The firearm was recovered.
 
The juvenile was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Firing into an Occupied Dwelling, and Grand Theft.
 
All charges are felonies. Garner was taken to Department of Juvenile Justice.
