Danny Aaron Duke, 72 of Caryville, passed from this life on October 3, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Danny was born on February 28,1949 in Bonifay, Florida to Aaron Duke and Teresa Lee. A lifelong resident of the Florida Panhandle, he served his country in the United States Army for 3 years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing and traveling to the mountains. Above all, he loved his family dearly and he will be sorely missed.
He was preceded in death by his father: Aaron Duke; brother in law: Bruce Hubbs.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Janice Duke of Caryville, FL; mother: Teresa Duke of Caryville, FL; sons: Michael Duke (Rhonda) of Caryville, FL, Scott Duke (Chastity) of Chipley, FL, Lee Duke (Crystal) of Caryville, FL; sister: Donna Hubbs of Caryville, FL; brother in law: Ronald Helms (Laurie) of Hamilton, GA; grandchildren: Hanna Duke, Colton Duke, Jeffrey Sherrer (Brittney), Josh Duke (Sarah), Jacob Duke, Allyson Duke, Bryson Duke, Tyson Duke; great grandchildren: Annastyn Sherrer, Andy Sherrer. nieces: Stacy Baker (Paul), Beth Clonch (JR); nephews: Ron Helms, Rob Hubbs.
Funeral service will be held 2PM Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church in Bonifay, Florida with Rev. Russell Ward and Rev. Tim Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.
The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at the Church.
