Cathy Lynn Gillman, age 62, of Westville, Florida passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021. She was born December 27, 1958 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to Roy Leonard and Mary Nell Calhoun Gillman.
She was a graduate of Roberson High School in Tampa, Florida and worked as a dental assistant in Dade City, Florida until 2001.
After relocating to Westville, Florida, she worked as a bus driver for Ponce de Leon schools for 14 years. Cathy loved her job almost as much as she loved “her kids” who were “her life.” In her free time, she enjoyed watching her favorite television show, NCIS, and playing hidden object games on her computer.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Gary Gillman; aunts, Bette, Dorothy, and Jeanette; uncles, Jack, Fred, Bill, Melvin, and Marie; two cousins, John and Mike.
Cathy is survived by her daughter, Cherish Gillman and husband William Allen; sister-in-law, Sherry Gillman; nephew, James Gillman and wife Bethany; great-nephew Jackson Gillman; two uncles; six aunts; loving pets, Sloupe, Oreo and Jamie; and many cousins and friends.
A celebration of Cathy’s life will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, 1985 Pleasant Ridge Road, Westville, Florida, 32464.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home of DeFuniak Springs.
