Roger Lynn Melson of Geneva, AL passed away October 6, 2021, at the age of 70.
A burial was held on Friday, October 15, 2021 in the Vaughanville cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing.
Roger was born in Winter Haven, FL on April 12, 1951, to the late Jennings and Edna Cullifer Melson. Roger was a gunsmith enthusiast who enjoyed anything related to guns. He was also an antique tractor collector. His prize collection was his Ford 8N tractor. He was an accomplished mechanic who loved working on his hot rod vehicles. He was a true “Hot Rodder” at heart. In his spare time, Roger enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and anything pertaining to the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Cullifer Melson, his father, Jennings Melson and a very special nephew, Chris Melson.
Roger is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Ann Jordan Melson of Geneva, AL; children, James Travis Melson (Summer) of Bonifay, FL, April Lynn Diaz (David) of Winter Haven, FL and Samantha Ann Fleming (Wayne) of Ponce de Leon, FL; five grandchildren, one great grandchild; one brother, Robert Melson (Mary) of Winter Haven, FL; two sisters, Diane Melson and Deloris Cooper, both of Winter Haven, FL.
