Michael O’Neal Ryan, Jr., 40 of Tallahassee, Florida Passes on Sunday, October 3, 2021

Michael O’Neal Ryan, Jr., 40, of Tallahassee, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 3, 2021.

He was born May 20, 1981 in Panama City, Florida to Michael and Melissa Ryan.

Michael attended Rutherford High School and enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Program. He also played baseball and football at Rutherford.

He played in the State Championship football game at UF in the Swamp. It was an exciting time for the class of 1999. Before graduating from Gulf Coast Community College in May 2001 with an Associate in Arts Degree, Michael completed an internship with the law firm of James H. White. Michael graduated in 2004 from the University of Florida with the degree Bachelor of Arts with a major in Political Science.

As a strong supporter of UF and his love for higher education and sports, he has always been a dedicated Florida Gator alumni and fan. He graduated in 2008 with a Juris Doctor degree from Barry University School of Law in Orlando, Fl.

After graduating from law school, Michael moved back to Panama City and worked with the law firm of Samuel T. Adams to assist clients after the oil spill of 2010. He helped many people recover from the devastating oil spill aftermath.

Michael moved to Tallahassee, Florida in 2015 to take a position with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement as a Government Operations Consultant. Michael will be long remembered for the many times he provided guidance and support to family and his many friends.

Those who knew him, loved him. Michael is survived by his parents Michael Ryan (Jan) and Melissa Ryan, wife Anna Reeves. He is a proud father to son, Michael “Tripp” O’Neal Ryan, III and step-daughter Reagan Hudson; sister Natalie Ryan; sister Katie Patronis; brother in law Jimmy Patronis; nephews Theo and Johnny Patronis; Uncle Kenny Eastham; Uncle James K. Eastham, Uncle Hugh Eastham, Uncle Jerry Ryan (Belinda), Uncle Larry Ryan (Becky) and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elizabeth and Gerald Ryan; Louise and James K. Eastham; Uncle Michael Davis Eastham.

A service will be held on November 5, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Forest Park Methodist Church of Panama City. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kevin Peoples, Joey Darnell, Nick Murphy, Jason Franzese, Patrick Faucheux, Joey Alexander, Patrick Berthod-Perez, Matthew Munyon, and Kenny Munroe.

The family requests that a memorial gift be made to the Florida 529 Savings Plan’s benefiting Reagan Hudson and Michael “Tripp” O’Neal Ryan III.
