By | November 5, 2021

Construction activities are set to begin the week of Monday, Nov. 8 on the U.S. 90 bridge replacement project over Holmes Creek.

The work will include replacement of the current structure, construction of a temporary onsite detour bridge, milling and resurfacing, and placement of new signs and pavement markings.

Traffic will be shifted to the temporary acrow (steel grate) bridge during construction of the new structure. Those traveling on Motorcycle or bike are reminded to use extra precaution, relax, maintain a steady speed, and ride straight across the surface. The project is estimated to be complete in early 2023.

All activities are weather-dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to use caution, especially at night, when traveling through a work zone and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
