James Marvin Thames Jr., 63 of Panama City, Florida Passes on November 9, 2021 in Blountstown, Florida

James Marvin Thames Jr., 63, of Panama City, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on November 9, 2021 at River Valley Rehabilitation Center in Blountstown, Florida. 

James was born on April 29, 1958 in Bonifay, Florida to James Marvin Thames Sr. and Dorothy Bryant. A lifelong resident of the Florida Panhandle, he was a carpenter by trade and loved spending time in the outdoors fishing. He will be remembered for his outgoing personality and smile that would light up any room. He was a loyal friend and brother who will be sorely missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents: James Marvin Thames Sr. and Dorothy Bryant; brother: Michael Thames; sisters: Shirley Harvey, Brenda Thames.

He is survived by his brother: Todd Thames (Renee) of Chipley, FL; nephews: Ryan Thames, Travis Thames; niece: Heidi Ceynor. 

Memorialization will be by cremation with Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida in charge of arrangements. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
