Washington County Sheriff’s Office in Pursuit of Wanted Fugitive Derek Lance Bush at Union Hill Road and Yates Settlement Road

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is actively in foot pursuit of a wanted person in the Union Hill Road and Yates Settlement Road area. Please avoid this area as there is a heavy law enforcement presence.

The suspect is known as Derek Lance Bush, described as a white male in his mid 30’s, approximately 6′ 200lbs. Bush was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black shirt and green hoodie. Bush was last seen in the area of Union Hill Road and Yates Settlement Road.

The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office engaged in a vehicle pursuit of Derek Bush earlier this afternoon, chasing him into Washington County.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area to assist in the apprehension. The vehicle was abandoned and the suspect entered a wooded area nearby. Holmes CI K9 Tracking team along with Washington CI K9 Tracking teams are assisting in the search for Bush.

Bush has active warrants for Habitual DWLSR, Fleeing and Eluding with disregard to the safety of others and reckless driving out of Washington County. Bush also has active warrants out of Holmes County for Trafficking Methamphetamine.
