Herbert Henry Jr. 94, of Chipley, went home to be with the Lord January 10, 2022 at Northwest Florida Community Hospital.
Herbert was born on January 30, 1927 in White Pine, Tennessee to Herbert Henry Sr. and Clara Spurgeon. He had lived in the Florida Panhandle since September 2016.
He served his country in the United States Army during WWII in the 11th Airborne. Herbert was a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Chipley, FL.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Melva Lynn Taylor Henry; parents: Herbert Henry Sr. and Clara Spurgeon; son: Herbert Harrison Henry.
He is survived by his son: Daniel Henry (Penny) of Chipley, FL; sister: Susie Zoretic of Altamonte Springs, FL; 2 grandchildren: Clayton Henry and Steven Henry.
A Celebration of Life will be held 4PM Friday, January 14, 2022 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Chipley, FL with Bro. Tim Brigham officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation with Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida in charge of arrangements.
