Bobby Sasnett, 74 of Westville, Florida Passes on February 7, 2022 at Bay Medical Center in Panama City

Bobby Sasnett, age 74, of Westville, Florida passed away February 7, 2022, at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Florida.
 
He was born March 1, 1947, in Westville, Florida to the late Matthew Sasnett and Epsy Mae Cody Sasnett. In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sasnett, three sisters, Pauline Anderson, Mary Gillis, Vera Mae Thomas, and four brothers, J.G. Sasnett, Junior Sasnett, John Sasnett, and Max Sasnett.
 
Mr. Sasnett is survived by three children, Rebecca Prescott and husband Scott of Westville, FL, Melinda Brock and husband Nevil of Vernon, FL, and Greg Wicker of Bonifay, FL; two brothers, Paul Sasnett of Westville, FL and Elmer Sasnett of Westville, FL; seven grandchildren, Zach Prescott, Buddy Brock, Josh Brock, Jason Brock, Hannah Huddleston, Derek Wicker, and Dalton Wicker; thirteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
 
Bobby was a 1956 graduate of Ponce de Leon High School and loved playing softball, hunting, and fishing. For over 40 years he worked in the construction industry and owned Sasnett Home Builders.
 
He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Ponce de Leon. Bobby enjoyed serving as Holmes County Commissioner District 1 from 2012 to 2020.
 
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 12, 2022, in the Peel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Westville Community Cemetery.
 
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Friday at Peel Funeral Home.
