On February 24, 2022 at approximately 7:00 p.m., a Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) deputy was actively patrolling a parking lot near the Highway 71 and Highway 90 interchange when he was flagged down by the owner of a local restaurant in a panic.
The owner stated three people did not pay for their meals and fled from the restaurant. A second individual stated it was a white suburban that had gone north on Highway 71.
The deputy drove in the direction the witness had stated and observed a white suburban with a State of Georgia license plate, several vehicles ahead.
A traffic stop was initiated, and the suburban began to accelerate.
When the deputy caught up to the vehicle, the driver quickly pulled over.
The subject, later identified as Cody Wade Plamondon, fled from the vehicle and when the deputy yelled for him to stop, he refused.
Plamondon ran approximately 200 yards and was apprehended in a field when he fell without incident.
Upon being identified, Plamondon, stated he had never had a driver’s license, but it was verified that he had an expired license since 2018 and that his license is suspended.
Plamondon also advised he had several warrants out of Georgia, which were verified to be a probation violation warrant, theft warrant, and receiving stolen property all out of Decatur County Georgia, and he also has an assault warrant out of Seminole County Georgia.
The Decatur County Sheriff’s Office extradited Plamondon on such warrants.
Plamondon was arrested without incident and was charged with Resisting a Law Enforcement Officer, Driving with a Suspended License, and Fugitive from Justice for Georgia Warrants.
Another Deputy arrived on scene and began to identify the two female occupants still with the vehicle. The female in the rear right passenger seat identified herself as Lawren Green.
The female in the front passenger seat identified herself as Lynnzi Marie Leonard, and a short while later advised that she had provided a false name.
She was then correctly identified as Autumn Bramblett. Bramblett was arrested without incident for Providing a False Name to Law Enforcement.
Due to all individuals being detained, narcotics K-9 Rocky was deployed and positively alerted to the odor of narcotics emitting from the vehicle.
A probable cause search was then conducted which located drug paraphernalia, and after performing a field test, was positive for methamphetamine. Green was also placed under arrest for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and was taken into custody without incident.
Sheriff Edenfield would like to thank the citizens of Jackson County for their willingness to notify law enforcement of criminal activity as well as the JCSO Uniform Patrol Division for their diligent work in apprehending three individuals seeking to commit crime in our community.
