Walton County, Florida Sheriff’s Office Suggests Not to Shoot Anybody with Anything- Including the Latest ‘Orbeez Challenge’

By | March 29, 2022

Per the Walton County, Florida Sheriff’s Office, it’s NEVER okay to randomly SHOOT at ANYONE with ANYTHING.

We’ve got another harmful social media challenge on our hands that is circulating nationwide.

It’s just about as ignorant as the Tide pod challenge, except this can harm others not just those who choose to partake.

This latest prank is called the “Orbeez Challenge”.

These projectiles can cause REAL injuries and firing these “play guns” at people puts not only the person using them in danger but those they are aimed at.

The pellets are full of a gel substance that can cause serious injuries if misused.

Parents, please impress upon your kids that it only takes a sheer moment of panic for someone to think they are being shot at with a real weapon and fire back – with real bullets.

If you see this type of behavior, please call the Walton County Sheriff’s Office immediately at (850)-892-8111 so a deputy can respond.

Please do not post or write us on social media. The quickest way to get a resolution is to call us.

Thank you and we’re here if you need us.
