Drivers will encounter traffic disruptions on the following state roads in Holmes and Washington counties as crews perform construction and maintenance activities.
Holmes County:
- Pleasant Ridge Road Bridge Replacement over Otter Creek – Construction activities have begun on the bridge replacement project, use caution when traveling in the work area.
- Joe White Road Bridge Replacement over Unnamed creek – Joe White Road will be closed to through traffic and a detour will be in place utilizing Bonifay Chipley Road and South Hubbard Street.
- State Road (S.R.) 79 Routine Utility Maintenance between East Evans Avenue and East Nebraska Avenue in Bonifay – Motorists may encounter intermittent lane closures and shifts from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, April 8 through Thursday, April 28 as crews perform utility work.
Washington County:
- U.S. 90 Bridge Replacement Over Holmes Creek – Motorists are reminded to use caution when traveling through the construction zone as workers and vehicles will be entering and exiting the work area.
- Orange Hill Road (County Road 273) Replacement over Hard Labor Creek Bridge – Construction of the temporary ACROW bridge is complete. Crews are currently working on the approached to the temporary detour bridge. Motorists are reminded to use caution when traveling through the construction zone as workers and vehicles will be entering and exiting work area.
- Campbelltown Highway (S.R. 273) Resurfacing from S.R. 77 to the Jackson County Line – Drivers may encounter intermittent lane closures and shifts from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. the week of Monday, April 11 as crews perform paving operations
All activities are weather-dependent and may be delayed or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Drivers are reminded to use caution, especially at night, when traveling through a work zone and to watch for construction workers and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
