Narvel Carter Armstrong, 86 of Vernon, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on April 17, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.
Narvel was born on August 30, 1935 in Wausau, FL to Cary Carter and Cora Long. Narvel was a lifelong resident of the Florida Panhandle, and attended New Life Fellowship Assembly of God in Chipley, Florida. Narvel was known for her love of dancing, and always had a song in her heart and rhythm in her feet.
She also adored children and had a nurturing spirit. Narvel was a member of the City Council of Vernon for over 30 years. She will be sorely missed by all her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband: James C. Armstrong Jr.; parents: Cary and Cora Carter; son: Clifton Armstrong; brothers: Ralph Carter, William Carter, Ross Carter, C.C. Carter, Willie Carter, Jimmie Carter; sisters: Mable Newsome, Ardell Carter.
She is survived by her son: Coleman Armstrong (Denise) of Vernon, FL; daughter: Tina Armstrong (Adrian) of Vernon, FL; grandchildren: Leif Armstrong (Trista), James Langston, Kalan Miller (Haley), Niki Ellis, Robin Randazzo, Rachel Angerbrandt, Cody Matney (Anna), Ashley Pedro (Stephen), Shana Sloan, Tyson Toller (Jenn); great grandchildren: Justin, Chris, Avery, Isabella, Eric, Austin, Harper, Piper; daughter in law: Donna Armstrong.
Funeral services will be held 11AM Friday, April 22, 2022 at New Life Fellowship Assembly of God in Chipley, Florida with Bro. Vince Spencer officiating. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.
The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
