The 2022 Holmes District Olympic Games were held on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at the Bonifay Recreation Center, as seen in the contributed photos, courtesy West Florida Electric Cooperative.
There was representation and participation from all seven schools throughout Holmes County for the seventh annual event.
Volunteer and supporter Emily Rone McCann estimated that there were over 120 athletes that participated in the games.
“Equally as impressive was the support and participation received from this amazing community in which we are so blessed to live.
There were approximately two volunteers for every participant.
From the outstanding support, it was evident that everyone was happy to celebrate our student-athletes and see the joy this event brings to each of them,” stated Emily.
West Florida Electric Cooperative provided the large American Flag and equipment to display it for the event.
It was great to be a part of such an amazing event that touched the lives of so many.
