Marsha Gail McDaniel, a loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and friend, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 25, 2022, at the age of 67.
Marsha was born on January 29, 1955, in Pensacola, Florida to Ceaphus and Mollie (Davis) Stewart. She obtained a Master’s Degree in Primary Education and was a long-time teacher in the Jackson County School System for 36 faithful years. On July 1, 1978, she married David Earl McDaniel and they were blessed to be able to raise one daughter, Virginia Ruth McDaniel.
Marsha had a passion for teaching and for the Lord. She and David assisted with many mission trips as well as sponsored events for local churches and Christian ministries abroad. She loved the beach, playing board games with her beloved grandson, listening to the piano, and most of all watching a good sunset. She was able to fulfill a life dream and re-locate to Pensacola where she has resided for the past year, enabling her to watch the sunset on the bayou every night. Marsha was regarded for her kind and generous heart, devotion to her family, and her passion for Christ.
Marsha was preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, David; her parents, Mollie and Ceaphus Stewart; her brother, Daniel Stewart; David’s parents, Faye and Earl McDaniel, and sister-in-law, Brenda Ingram.
She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Ruth McDaniel (Clara); her grandson, Ethan Lewis; her sister Kay Montgomery (Bob); sister-in-law, Connie Melzer (Jamie), and several special nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on April 29th, 2022, at 10:00 AM Central Time at McAlpin Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Pope Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, David.
