C. Scott Dudley, Director of Florida League of Cities and Director of Florida League of Mayors recently presented to Kayson Hawkins, son of Tray and Jessica Hawkins of Vernon, Florida, a trophy for First Place in the Annual Essay Contest hosted by those organizations.
The Florida League of Cities and Florida League of Mayors essay contest was titled, “If I Were Elected Mayor” ‘, and was submitted by Ms. Mims, one of Kayson’s teachers.
The award was presented at a Vernon, Florida City Council meeting on Monday, May 16, 2022, as seen in this photo.
Kayson is just one outstanding example of the fine young men and women we find right here in Washington County, Florida.
