By | May 26, 2022

Attached is an updated one-page briefing detailing the severe weather and excessive rainfall outlooks for today with the latest forecast rainfall amounts through Friday.

The biggest change from the previous briefings was the expansion of the Flood Watch to now include Liberty and Franklin County.

The Moderate Risk (level 3 of 4) for excessive rainfall was also shifted eastward to include all of the coastal FL Panhandle.

The most vulnerable locations to flash flooding are in Gulf County where portions of the area received around 8 inches yesterday.

The severe weather risk remains largely unchanged as most of the Tri-State area is under a Marginal Risk (level 1 of 5).

Primary threats are isolated damaging winds, hail up to a quarter size, with a couple tornadoes possible.

Timing of storms is primarily during the daytime hours into the evening.
