Wallace Roland, 84, of Cottondale, Florida passed from this life on June 27, 2022 at Southeast Health in Dothan, Alabama surrounded by his loving family.
Wallace was born on February 28, 1938 in Geneva County, Alabama to C.L. and Essie Roland. Wallace was a lifelong resident of the Florida Panhandle and was a member of the Masonic Lodge 206 in Cottondale, Florida. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors fishing at Kennedy Creek. Most of all, he loved his family dearly, and will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents: C.L “Bud” Roland and Essie Strickland Roland; brothers: J.L. Roland, Gerald Roland; sister: Elousie Altman.
He is survived by his sons: Greg Roland (Melody) of Marianna, FL, Scotty Roland (Melanie) of Cottondale, FL; brother: Doyle Roland of Kinston, AL; sisters: Helen Roland of Fayette, AL, Dorothy Bateman of Graceville,FL; grandchildren: Anna Roland, Colby Roland, Avery Roland; great grandchildren: Brayden and Tyler.
Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, June 30, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Cottondale, Florida. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 10-11 AM Thursday, June 30, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Cottondale, Florida.
