Samuel E. Newsom, age 88 of Franklin, LA passed from this life on Sunday, July 3, 2022. He was born on January 7, 1934 in Chipley, FL to the late Samuel Newsom and Maranda (Rogers) Newsom.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Fannie Lou (Moody) Newsom, two daughters, Martha Newsom Stallworth, Linda Newsom, one brother, Irvin Newsome, one sister, Nadine Morris.
Survivors include, two sons, Mark Newsom of Franklin, LA, Danny Newsom and wife Bonita of Franklin, LA, two brothers, Aaron Newsom of Jacksonville, FL, Wayne Newsom and wife Sarah of Kathleen, FL, one half brother, Roy Newsom of Greenhead, FL, one half sister, Shirley Tipton of Apalachicola, FL, eight grandchildren, Christopher Newsom of Casper, WY, Chuck Newsome of Berwick, LA, Charity Martin and husband Cain of Chipley, FL, Russell Knight and wife Miranda of Panama City, FL, Joshua Batte and wife Nicole of Warner Robins, GA, Danell Miguez and husband Stephen of Franklin, LA, Chad Daigle and wife Jamie of Franklin, LA, Sage Daigle of Anchorage, Alaska , numerous great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Brown Funeral Home. The visitation will be open from 10:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. for anyone who wishes to come pay their respects. Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 P.M. Interment will follow at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Lynn Haven, FL.
